John 10:10: says The thief cometh not, but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. The abundantly life is one of the benefits of staying a believing Christian and living a life that is pleasing to God. As believing Christians we are not a subculture of the world we are counterculture to the world. Believing Christians don't have to live a life defeated and become an anchor to the problems of this world. Romans 8:6: For to be carnally minded is death: but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Carnal means to be mentally dominated by our five senses; what we can see, hear, taste, touch,and feel. Having a carnal mind leaves no room for having faith. God put his nature, his DNA, his might, and his power into born again Christians so that they can live an abundant life. Romans 8:9: But ye are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. Ephesians 3:20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Ephesians 3:16: That he would grant you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with his might by his Spirit in the inner man. God has not only rescued us from sin by sending Jesus to die for us, but he also put his very might and his power inside of the believing Christian in order live an abundant life. I Corinthians 2:12: Now we have receive, not the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Philippians 2:5: Let the mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus: Verse 6: Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. God loves us so much that he wants us to be equal as him, he has rescued us from sin, placed his might and his very nature inside of us so that we can live an abundant life that is pleasing to him.
