Avoiding Sin

Fornication is sexual intercourse and is a sin if performed outside of marriage or out of wedlock. 1 Thessalonians 4:3: For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication. Sanctification is the separation from anything that is ungodly and also means holy. Holy is when you imitate your father which is God if you have been born again. The believing Christian should never participate in fornication or commit adultery. 1 Thessalonians 4:6: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. Romans 1 talks about people that did not glorify God, but chose to go after the lusts in their own hearts even women sleeping with women and men with men. This act against nature is forbidden. Romans 1:26: For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Romans 1:27: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another: men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was met. Romans 1:32: who knowing the judgement of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death. 1 Corinthians 6:18: Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. Verses 19 & 20 are self explanatory. 1 Corinthian 6:19: What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:20: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit which are God's. What God is saying is when Jesus died on the cross for our sins our bodies belong to him. 1 Corinthians 6:17: But he that is joined unto the Lord is one in spirit. Once you are born again your spirit within you is one with the Holy Ghost. Your body is just a earthly house that holds your spirit. Meaning Jesus is the landlord of that earthly house. Jesus is inside of you watching you commit fornication and seeing you defile your body and allow filth and intercourse over your earthly house. That is definitely unpleasing to God and you will be held accountable. We as believing Christians can live a life that is pleasing to God as long as we follow his word. 1 Corinthians 7:2: says Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
